Daily Presence is our guide for meeting with God every day. We worship, read, meditate, pray, and apply. Since implementing this practice we’ve noticed two things: 1) People are growing in their faith! We’ve heard tons of great feedback from people who are experiencing the transformation of His daily presence in their life. 2) Accountability has been one of the greatest supporting factors in continuing to meet with God daily. Couples or groups of friends participating collectively are going strong.
That’s why we’re excited to launch Circles in 2021! Built around the framework of Daily Presence, Circles are groups of 4-5 people who comment daily and pray weekly! The format is digital, with the option to meet up from time to time. The comments are simple, answering the question: “What did God speak to me today through Daily Presence?” On Thursdays, members will share their prayer requests and commit to pray for each other throughout the day.
It’s simple… and so incredibly valuable. Statistics show that people with accountability are more than twice as likely to finish something than those without. Going one step further, researchers at the Center For Bible Engagement discovered that those who engage the Bible 4 or more times a week were: 228% more likely to share their faith, 407% more likely to memorize scripture, 59% less likely to view pornography, and 30% less likely to struggle with loneliness.
As a church, I sense a deep conviction and passion to help people meet with God daily. The statistics clearly show that providing a circle of accountability multiplies consistency and continuation.
This is your opportunity… Would you consider leading a Circle in 2021? I’d love to start the year with over 100 people living in daily presence together. That means we need a minimum of 25 people willing to facilitate!
Training is on December 13th after church. If you can’t make this training, we’ll have a Zoom option available as well. The expectations are simple:
- Practice Daily Presence every day
- Comment in your chat daily
- Pray for your circle weekly
- Follow-up with those that go MIA
You don’t have to be a Bible scholar, and you aren’t making a commitment to lead anything face-to-face. You are committing to digitally facilitating a circle of support and accountability to see others grow in Christ. The circle and chat will be facilitated in private groups through our Church Center app.
